Data Retention Policy

This policy describes how long Serica AI, operated by Super Individual LLC, keeps the data associated with your use of the Services. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. Summary of retention periods

The table below sets out typical retention windows.

Generated outputs (images, video, audio, model outputs)Up to about 7 days after generation, varying by model route and storage tier. Download what you need promptly.
Account and profile dataWhile your account is active, plus a short grace period after closure, subject to erasure requests.
Security and abuse preventionAs long as needed to protect the platform and meet legal duties, with minimal retention possible after deletion for fraud prevention.
Usage, billing, and metering recordsAs needed for billing reconciliation, disputes, tax, and accounting, typically longer than media retention.
Payment and tax recordsAs required by applicable law; not automatically removed on account closure.
Support ticketsLife of the ticket plus a reasonable follow-on period, which may extend for disputes.
Technical backupsUp to about 60 days in encrypted backups until routine overwrite.

2. Generated content and API outputs

Outputs may be removed automatically after the windows above. You are responsible for keeping your own copies. Deleting history does not guarantee immediate removal from backups or subprocessor systems.

3. Third-party model providers

To fulfil a request, we transmit prompts to third-party AI providers, which retain data under their own policies. A deletion request to Serica does not automatically erase data held by those providers.

4. Longer retention and exceptions

We may retain data longer where needed for legal, regulatory, tax, audit, claims, fraud, security, billing, or investigation purposes.

5. Deletion and account closure

To request deletion, contact support@sericai.com. We aim to respond to and complete verified requests within about thirty (30) days, unless the law permits an extension. Account termination is final as to access to benefits, balances, and history, without compensation.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on our site controls.
